Just wanted to share a video of Peyton talking. He's become quite the entertainer lately. Enjoy!

2 months
Our little man has gone through some changes this past month. He's officially in size 2 diapers and fits comfortably in size 6 month clothes. We went to his 2 month check up and Peyton weighed 13 lbs 10 oz (above the 95%) and was 23.5 inches (70%). He got 3 shots and was a trooper...It only made him cry for a little bit. He quickly fell asleep and we had to wake him up for feedings. New during this month:
-he became more aware and started looking around at things (around 5 weeks)
-he also started smiling and cooing (around 7 weeks)
Here he is smiling with Daddy. (so sweet!)

And another while we were packing for our tour de Texas: Austin for Josh's STEP exam, Garland to visit Josh's family, and Port Neches to visit my family/ Brytni's wedding shower.

I also wanted to share his monthly "P" photo. I borrowed this idea from another blog. He's changed so much!
Here is 1 month

Major props to Josh for taking these...he's getting so talented with his camera! Sorry for the lack of posts, things have been busy. My goal for this month is to at least update my blog weekly. Fingers crossed that this will happen! :)

5 years together
5 years ago I was blessed to meet the love of my life when I was a Freshman in college at Texas A&M. I'm sure you've all heard this, but we met in the laundry room one night at the Traditions Dorm. (where he ended up proposing)
Now onto March 9, 2006. I remember it all so well. I had been seeing this awesome guy for about a month. It was time to leave for Spring Break and we were headed home to our opposite ends of Texas. That night I was heading to Houston for the Rodeo to see Maroon 5 with some girlfriends. I had just gotten out of the shower and was finishing up packing. There was a knock on my door and it happened to be Josh. He looked so serious.
"I just don't want to leave you this long without making things official," he said. After asking him what he meant he asked me to be his girlfriend. We've been together ever since. I remember calling my Mom to tell her...I was sooo giddy and had butterflies in my stomach. How did I get so lucky? OK, that's all for now and the rest is history...thanks for reading my lovey dovey post of the year ;)

"Snow day" 2-4-11
We had crazy weather last week. On Wednesday there were rolling blackouts all over Texas that caused our school to close. Thursday was normal, but the news said on Friday an "Arctic Blast" would roll in. School was cancelled again and this is what we woke up to...poor cat was couped up all week. (cold weather = doggy door stays closed)

He seemed pretty interested, so I let him out. What's this white stuff?

It wasn't anywhere near the weather we drove home from the Cotton Bowl in. (on 1-9-11)The following pictures were taken southbound on I35 from south Dallas all the way to HIllsboro, which is on your way to Waco.
"Oh cool, it's snowing!"

"Wow, it's really picked up"

"Please just let us get home!" (luckily there was no ice)

"YAY, we survived" (after this we stopped in West, TX at Czech Stop to get gas...love that place!)

The crib is up!
On January 22 my parents came in town for a 3D/4D ultrasound and to deliver Peyton's crib!
26.5 week shot under the sign that we got in Savannah, GA

Here he is!

We can't really decide who he looks like. Plus since he was only 26.5 weeks, he still has some chubbing up to do. Later that weekend my Mom text me this picture of me the day I was born. Maybe he has my nose?

After the ultrasound we put up the crib. It wasn't too bad, there were just a few phases to getting the job done.

Brody, of course, was a huge help

My Mom...we're debating between calling her Lulu or Lolly

Proud papa

My Dad...he wants Peyton to call him Pop

Sneak preview of the finished product...

A visit from Grandpa
On January 26 & 27 we had the privilege of going to dinner with my Grandpa, who was in town for a Texas Municipal League quarterly meeting. They really know how to eat and have a good time! We felt so welcomed and really enjoyed ourselves.
27 week shot in Peyton's room

While getting lost, I mean driving to the restaurant I snapped this shot of a building downtown.

The first dinner was at the Iron Cactus next to the Mokara Hotel. The food was delicious and they had a dessert sampler bar...yum!

The next day we had dinner at the Little Rhein Steakhouse, a cozy little restaurant that has been around since the 60's. Here's Grandpa enjoying a margarita.

Grandpa is so excited about the baby that he told everyone his great-grandson would be there. I was asked several times where he was and would just point to my stomach ;) He's not done cooking!

thanks Grandpa for treating us! We hardly ever go downtown for dinner and really enjoyed having a nice meal.
